How do texts shape organization development consultants? What happens when organization development consultants take theoretical models to work the next day? What types of texts are particularly likely to influence their thinking? In this essay we describe how texts, in combination with experience, foster scholar practitioner development. Using our own Conference Model®, we demonstrate how the interplay between text and experience influences us as organizational change practitioners.
